We process personal data in accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection and its regulations.
2. What data we collect
- Contact data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number and country.
- Trip data: dates, times, pick-up and drop-off addresses, flight or train numbers, number of travelers and luggage, special requests (e.g. child seats).
- Package data: for trips that include train or entrance tickets we may need passport/ID numbers, nationality and date of birth, as required by the ticket providers.
- Technical data: IP address and basic browser information, used to protect our forms against spam and abuse.
3. Why we use your data
- To manage your booking request, confirm availability and provide the contracted services.
- To contact you before and during your trip (email, phone or WhatsApp).
- To issue invoices and comply with legal and tax obligations.
- To answer your questions and complaints.
- Only with your consent: to send you offers or travel news. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We only share the data strictly necessary with: the driver or guide assigned to your service; hotels, train operators and entrance-ticket providers included in your trip; payment providers (banks, card processors, PayPal); and public authorities when required by law. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of the tools we use (email, cloud storage, WhatsApp, payment processors) may store data on servers outside Peru. We only use providers that offer adequate security guarantees.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and for the periods required by tax and accounting laws. Requests that do not become bookings are deleted after 12 months.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, cancellation of, or object to the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights) by writing to info@daytripperu.com with a copy of your ID. We will reply within the legal deadlines. If you are not satisfied, you may file a claim with Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection.
8. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to booking information.
9. Cookies
This website uses technical cookies required for it to work. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
